People have asked why we decided to write this book. We’re putting together the 30-year history of SMO first for our kids and grandkids before we get too old to remember it. We also wrote the book as encouragement to anyone who may be just starting out or planning to launch a cleaning or other small business. As you read the book, we hope that you will discover a few messages that you’ll find helpful in striving to reach your entrepreneurial dreams.
We’re also writing the book as our way to honor the cleaning service industry. We want to assure you that the women and men who clean your offices, your stores, your banks and your schools are some of the best, most humble people you could ever know. Like us, some of them have built a highly successful cleaning business from nothing. Because we believe that more of their stories should be known and appreciated, we have included profiles of four other very successful janitorial services in the book.
We hope to see you there on Saturday January 26th as we celebrate SMO’s 30th anniversary and the launch of From Rags to … More Rags.
