The SMO Leadership Award is given to the SMO exempt team member whose leadership has the most overall impact on the company as it strives to reach its goals. The winner is selected by the SMO executive leadership team.

Shanda begin her career at SMO as a part-time sales assistant in 2001 and joined full-time in 2006. She currently serves as SMO's Office Manager. David Murphy, President, recently said, “when it came time to select our first Leadership Award winner, Shanda was the obvious choice. She is the go to person that holds the office together and she sets the example with her hard work and dedication.”

Gary Collins, Chief Operating Officer, said this of his experience working with Shanda over the years: “Shanda is awesome, and I can't imagine being able to do my job without her. Shanda works tirelessly to ensure the office is running smoothly and her commitment is unquestionable. She sets the tone for leadership.”
