A safe image can be a boost to employee morale and will keep your customers and clients coming through the door. But it is important that the safe image not be a façade and is instead a reflection of the precautions and procedures you put in place to protect your employees' and the public's health. Below are some tips to help you promote safety in the workplace to protect the health and wellbeing of your employees and clients.   **Offer Protection** In the beginning of the crisis, personal protection equipment, or PPE, was in short supply. But now there is a surplus because production has caught up with demand. Other protective measures are also more readily available now than they were a few months ago, and it is important that your business offer these protections to your clients and employees. Here are a few things that you should have well-stocked and available during business hours: - **Free PPE, such as masks.** At your door or on in the reception area should be a box of masks for anyone to use in case they have forgotten theirs. Most people today have their own, but having them available helps you to uphold a mask requirement in your workplace. - **Hand sanitizer should be available in high-traffic areas.** You should have enough for employees to use throughout the day and there should be some available at reception and in waiting rooms. - **Directive decals and signs.** You should have floor decals placed anywhere customers or employees line up or wait that remind them to stay 6-feet apart. You should also have signs on the front door and throughout the office reminding people to wear their masks to help mitigate spread.   **Be Proactive** What understandably caught everyone off guard in the beginning of the pandemic is our collective unpreparedness for the crisis. No business was equipped to handle the disruption or had the necessary precautions in place to reopen safely. Now that we have had some months to prepare, it is necessary to be proactive while doing business in the Covid-era. Disinfection and sanitization are the most important ways business should be proactive. Be prepared to address an employee or client who unknowingly exposes your business to coronavirus infection by hiring disinfection experts who have the tools and knowledge to prevent further outbreak after the problem is discovered. Those experts can also offer additional services such as providing day porters to be onsite to sanitize and clean throughout the workday. These day porters will be able to clean: - High-Traffic Areas - Touch Points - Meeting Rooms - Break Rooms - Restrooms   **Hire Professional Commercial Cleaners** The final way a business can uphold a safe image during the Covid-19 pandemic is by hiring professional commercial cleaners to handle all of the above mentioned measures.
